JALNA: Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange concluded his nine-day-long indefinite fast for the Maratha quota on Thursday.

Jarange brought his fast to a close by consuming juice, accompanied by a warning that he would spearhead a substantial march to Mumbai if a decision was not made within two months.

His declaration was made at the fasting site in his village in Jalna district following a meeting with four state ministers who urged him to end the indefinite hunger strike.
A delegation consisting of retired high court judges Sandeep Shinde and M.G. Gaikwad, along with some officials, also had a meeting with Jarange. During the meeting, he reiterated his demand for comprehensive reservation for Marathas throughout Maharashtra. He insisted on “foolproof reservation” and requested the state government to provide him with its assurance.
