Indian law firm JSA has advised Mumbai-based investment firm A91 Partners on its acquisition of a significant minority stake in Bengaluru-headquartered aerospace and defence manufacturer SASMOS HET Technologies, which was represented by Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

SASMOS has a strong international footprint across the UK, Europe, and the US, specialising in designing and manufacturing wiring harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, and fiber optic solutions for global and domestic OEMs. Its solutions are deployed across platforms developed by industry leaders such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, IAI, L&T, BEL, and several others.

The investment is expected to accelerate SASMOS’ growth trajectory across R&D, new product development, global expansion, and other strategic initiatives.

India’s aerospace and defense sector saw over INR 3,580 crore of investments across sub-sectors, with aerospace and defense systems alone attracting INR 2,915 crore through 48 deals in 2025, a clear tilt towards aerospace innovations and dual-use defense tech.

Government initiatives like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat have intensified focus on domestic manufacturing, with 75 percent of the modernization budget earmarked for indigenous procurement in 2025-26 worth approximately INR 1.11 lakh crore.
