New Delhi: Info Edge, the parent company of job site Naukri, has received a whistle-blower complaint alleging violations of company policies by some employees in the real estate listing platform 99acres, it said on Saturday.

According to the firm, the audit committee and board of directors have appointed a specialist law firm to independently investigate the matter.

“The law firm’s assessment is ongoing and as at date there is no material impact on the company’s financial statements,” it said in a stock exchange filing.

Info Edge had reported a 32% increase in net profit for the quarter ended June 30 compared with a year earlier, supported by revenue growth in both its recruitment and non-recruitment businesses. It posted a net profit of ₹343 crore while consolidated operating revenue increased 17% to ₹791 crore.

Info Edge’s total income rose to ₹1,004 crore for the quarter from ₹827 crore a year ago, while expenses increased to ₹563.8 crore from ₹484.5 crore.

Revenue from the recruitment solutions business, including Naukri.com, grew 15% YoY to ₹562 crore. Revenue from 99acres increased 12% to ₹110.6 crore.

Other businesses, including Jeevansathi and Shiksha, grew 30%. The billing growth in 99acres in Q1 was driven by improvements in both the number of billed customers and average billing per customer, the company had said.
