Samvād: Partners has expanded its corporate and M&A capabilities with the addition of former Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co partner Jagriti Mohata in Mumbai.

Mohata brings over 4 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions, and corporate advisory work. Her expertise includes structuring inbound foreign investments and cross-border acquisitions, particularly in the pharmaceuticals, healthcare, IT/ITES, manufacturing and specialty chemicals sectors.

Mohata has previously been with S&R Associates, and the erstwhile Platinum Partners (now Touchstone Partners) before joining SAM in 2019.

Samvad also has announced the promotion of two counsels to partners, Nivedita Udupa (employment and corporate) and Lalit Munshi (disputes).

“With her significant deal making and execution strength, Jagriti will bolster our M&A and private equity practice. The elevation of Lalit and Nivedita to the partnership is a natural progression of their consistent excellence, leadership, and deep client trust, and will add to the depth of our disputes and employment practice,” senior partner Vineetha MG said in a statement.
